AQUATREAD WATER THERAPY
The Aquatread provides resistance for the horse while moving through the water and creates buoyancy to lesson the weight on the limbs by up to 60%. The Aquatread allows horses to be exercised in water up to shoulder height. The different water levels allow us to easily manage the resistance on the horses limbs and to target different muscle groups to achieve a more fit and sound horse.*
The Aquatread:
- Accelerates conditioning
- Improves performance
- Enhances muscle development
- Optimal top-line positioning when compared to swimming
- High intensity workout
- Recover from injury without undue strain
- BOARDING
-
Boarding includes:
Individual Stalls equipped with double mats, high velocity fans, and Zesterra® Lick Tubs
Individual one acre electric fence turnouts
Grass, bailed alfalfa, and/or Chaffhaye Alfalfa
- COLD SALTWATER SPA TREATMENTS
-
The Cold Saltwater Spa uses cryo-therapy, aeration, and saltwater therapy to increase healing and recovery time. The cold water serves as a topical analgesic and reduces swelling in areas of concern. In addition to the cryo-therapy and aeration benefits, the spa is especially useful post session as the horse warms up, blood flow increases to the limbs and continues to promote healing.*
The Cold Saltwater Spa:
- Helps heal soft tissue damage
- Cools and tightens tendons to aid in a faster recovery time post performance
- Effective treatment for fungus
- Aids in drawing out and healing hoof abscesses
- Beneficial for joint infection
- Aids in recovery from lacerations and infection
- Increases blood circulation
- PULSED ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD (PEMF) THERAPY
-
"Magnetism is a fundamental force that is essential for life on Earth. PEMF uses pulsing electromagnetic fields to jumpstart and accelerate normal biological cellular reactions.
Very simply, cells contain electrically charged particles called ions that govern all cellular processes. When the body is stressed by illness, competition, environmental factors or age, the cellular membrane that conducts the essential ions in to and out of the cell becomes comprised and is unable to efficiently do its job of managing the transport of these ions. When the PEMF generated by the Respond Systems bed penetrates the body, a magnetic field in motion is created that immediately and positively directly impacts these ions and membrane potential to stimulate them into action. The result is an increase in cellular communication and circulation, a decrease in inflammation and pain and a resulting acceleration of healing.
There are no side effects and many times PEMF can be used in place of pharmaceuticals to treat long-term, degenerative conditions."*
